Our blankets use a grid of pockets to keep the weight in place inside the blanket
The most important aspect of a weighted blanket is how well it keeps the weight distributed across your body, the smaller the pocket, the less the weight moves and the more effective the weighted blanket is.
At Sommio we only provide you with the best weighted blanket experience, with other weighted blankets most of the weight falls to the lowest point, where it’s useless! our exclusive Prime pocket size keeps the weight on you, where it can provide real results

There are 100 standard pockets in a Cocoon blanket, this increases to 169 with the smaller Prime pocket
At Sommio we don’t use cheap materials to cut costs, which is why we only use premium velvet plush for Cocoon covers, never microfibre.
Often microfibre covers are marketed as “minky”, and are a way for manufacturers/retailers to cut costs at the expense of the overall quality and feel of the product.

All our weighted blankets can be used with or without a cover.
The cover attaches to the blanket using 12 ties, placed around the blanket and inside the blanket cover.
Covers make maintainance of a weighted blanket easier. Our weighted blankets are washable, but:
A blanket cover eliminates these issues, it is however important to know that although the blanket cover is attached to the blanket, when moving the blanket in the cover you should try to hold the blanket rather than the cover
Our cotton covers are the same material as that used for the weighted blanket -100% cotton, with a range of patterns and colours. These covers are easy to wash, and create an overall cooler blanket than the plush cover
Our Plush cover is more luxurious than the cotton cover, the cover has different fabrics for each side; one side is a soft quilted fur, the other is a smooth velvety feel fabric. The plush covers are 100% polyester.
We currently only have one plush cover option
Cover ties enable you to add a cover at a later date.
We recommend you use a Sommio cover with a Sommio blanket as the ties enable the blanket to stay in place inside the cover.
All the options for the blanket fabric are 100% cotton
The blankets can be used with and without a cover, you can pair a blanket with one fabric pattern with a cover of a different fabric pattern
